Shipping

Shipping Information

Any shipping and handling charges will be reflected in the customer's shopping cart while placing their order. "Free Shipping" or no charge for shipping means shipping is included in the product price. Shipping companies do not ship things for free, its included in the product price you pay. Certain oversized items may require additional shipping charges due to required extras unanticipated at check-out, such as a lift-gate required for delivery by the carrier or delivery location restrictions and/or handling issues. Any such additional charges are the responsibility of the customer and must be settled prior to delivery of such orders.

All charges are in U.S. Dollars. Please provide us with a valid email, phone number, and shipping address when placing your order. An active and valid email address is required to purchase from us.

BuilderDepot cannot ship most items to a PO Box, so your order may be cancelled if you do not enter a valid street address for delivery. Please provide your daytime phone number so that the shipper can contact you in case they have difficulty finding your address.

Most items can ship to APO/FPO addresses, unless stated in the product description. Shipping to APO/FPO addresses take a few days longer and may be more expensive due to USPS rates and logistics. We do not ship to Hawaii or Alaska.

We make every attempt to ship immediately, however in some cases we may have to ship within 3-5 business days, and in rare cases it might take longer (we list these exceptions on the Product Description page). Occasionally customers will order a product which has become out of stock during the purchase period. We will endeavour to source the product from another supplier, if we are unsuccessful then your purchase will be refunded in full if we are out of stock.

We do not guarantee any shipment time frame nor any delivery timeframe. If a delivery is time sensitive ensure you leave enough time for successful delivery when ordering. Any ship date or delivery date given is an estimate only.

Holiday Shipping Schedule

UPS, FedEx and other shippers have special pick-up and delivery schedules for the holidays. Please keep this in mind when ordering items during the holiday season. Please note that orders placed after December 20th may not reach you by December 24th.

Please remember that you are responsible for your order once the carrier (UPS/FedEx, freight, USPS) delivers it to your address. Due to possible theft, we encourage you to make arrangements for your package to be kept in a secure location once it is delivered. We are not responsible for stolen or lost items after confirmed delivery. We can assist with a shipping trace/shipper claim.

Please inspect your order for any shipping damages upon arrival and take photos, and note the damage in writing with the delivery driver or refuse the shipment and email CustomerService@builderdepot.com to report the refusal and reasons. You must report any exceptions immediately. If you sign for a delivery in good condition you are responsible for it and a shipper claim is likely to be denied.

BuilderDepot is not responsible for broken, crushed, or tampered cartons, that is the responsibility of the shipping company. Please email us promptly if you have a problem with any delivery and include your order number and full name and phone number.

We do not accept delivery address changes after the order has been placed to help protect you and us against fraud, also you are liable for any costs we incur if you provide us with the wrong shipping address. You are also responsible for all shipping charges and all other fees (including return shipping) if you refuse to accept the shipment (for non-damage reasons) or do not cooperate with the carrier so they can deliver the order to you per the shipping address provided.

If a tracking number shows no movement after a day or two please contact us so we can investigate. The sooner this is done the sooner we can either get a replacement shipment sent or the carrier to find the package and get it moving.

Large items shipped via LTL (Freight) are curbside delivery only. You are responsible for moving the item into your home or business. We do not provide installation or setup services nor do we remove or take old appliances.

Order Confirmation & Tracking

After you have submitted your order, we will email you the "order confirmation number" as confirmation of order acceptance (please reference this number with all your communications with us). Please save the email and use the links in it to check the order status, request to cancel the order, or request a return authorization. We ship most orders by FedEx, UPS, USPS, or common carrier. Once the order has shipped, we will also email you the "Shipping Tracking Number", which you may use to log on the shipper's web site to track your shipment. Please use the tracking # to track your shipment and alert us if you do not get the shipment within the estimated period, otherwise we cannot help you and you will be responsible if the shipment is lost or damaged.

Not all products come with everything required to install them. Ensure you have or order all the necessary tools and installation hardware.

Shipper Claims

A shipper claim must be filed within 15 days of delivery or refusal as per the shipping companies policies. We will need pictures of any damage to file a claim if the package is accepted as damaged. For UPS you must call UPS (1800PICKUPS) to report that the item was received damaged, they take the process from there and will pickup or inspect the item. They then refund us and we subsequently refund you.
